Content modules, the open source community, hosting and deployment options.
GovIntranet is a WordPress CMS theme for intranets. The open source content management system has been in continuous development since 2013. Additional modules, templates and features have been commissioned by our supported clients in central government departments, local gov, councils, hospitals and charities.
The modular system, built with the Bootstrap framework, is extensible through a rich ecosystem of plugins allowing you to create a bespoke intranet from a common set of tools.
The content management system consists of the GovIntranet WordPress theme and associated plugins. There are two versions of the theme; a free version available on GitHub (requires additional premium plugins), and a premium version available to supported clients. There is no charge per user.
Ready to go, out of the box, off the shelf. Whichever way you look at it, you still need to deploy and host your intranet. There are various options, from DIY to fully-supported solutions.
Ongoing client support contracts provide the foundation for future product development. Regular client meetups steer the direction of development and provide a forum to share experiences.
